thoughts and frustrations on Melbourne theatre through bright young eyes

It was a lot of fun, but is this the end of theatARGH? No. Not it isn’t. In fact, it’s hardly the beginning.

Unfortunately, as a University student and a practising theatre artist and writer, I haven’t been able to put as much into theatARGH over the last month as I would have hoped. However, with that said, here are some very significant things to look forward to in the coming weeks:

  1. Reviews of Platform Youth Theatre’s Tenderness and The Hayloft Project’s Chekhov Re-Cut
  2. The first real ARGH rant of the blog with Melbourne Theatre Company’s Rock ‘N’ Roll
  3. Coverage of some of the more interesting readings of new Melbourne playwrights

On that third note, I would refer people to Chapel off Chapel, who are beginning their emerging playwright forums this weekend with a staged reading of Tom Conyer’s Magpies. For more information, see here.

theatARGH is, like it’s operator, busy finding itself. But more will be on the way. Never fear!

Your writing and rantings are stimulating, thought provoking and provide a very much needed perspective on the Melbourne theatre scene. Thanks and do keep up the good work.
